Base: green tea crafted in the Japanese style, giving it a sweet taste and umami, with
fruity notes, a seaweed aroma, and a toasted aftertaste typical of the Argentine terroir.
Additions:
Jarilla leaves – a plant native to Argentina’s dry steppe, with a spicy and smoky flavor
Patagonian berry mix (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry) – adds sweet and sour notes reminiscent of the desserts and pastries from the "Seven Lakes" region between Río Negro and Chubut
Lavender – not native, but cultivated in Patagonia for over 100 years. Both leaves and flowers are used, each contributing distinct aromas
Blue sage flowers – an unusual ingredient that first gives a sweet taste, then a subtle bitterness, and lends the infusion a unique blue-gray hue
Profile: a rich spectrum of aromas and flavors. Smoky and fresh notes dominate, while
the taste blends sweetness and fruitiness. The infusion is clear with a bluish tint — like the
plumage of the steamer duck — and its aromas transport you to the cool shores of
Patagonian lakes.
Preparation method
Flying steamer duck: 85°C 4′
It is recommended to follow the infusion time and temperature precisely, and to serve the drink without the leaves to avoid over-steeping and ensure consistent results.
