How many days do summer flowers last in a vase and what do they symbolize?

Lisianthus (eustoma) – considered a long-lasting flower, lasts from 7 to 14 days. It symbolizes tenderness, elegance, gratitude, and harmony; it is often called the “flower of love” and is given as a sign of fidelity.

Tuberose – lasts from 7 to 10 days, gradually opening. Tuberose is known for its rich, sweet, intense fragrance. Its symbolism is dual: the delicate white petals embody tenderness, while the deep fragrance represents true passion.

Gomphrena – lasts from 7 to 10 days. In Latin America, gomphrena is considered the eternal flower; in Mexico it is added to tea to strengthen health and vitality, while in India and China it symbolizes longevity, spiritual resilience, vitality, friendship, and joy.

Sunflowers – last from 7 to 10 days. When the yellow petals begin to fall, we recommend keeping the sunflower’s center – it is often used in bouquets as an independent and very interesting element of the composition, and it can also be dried. Worldwide, the sunflower is a symbol of the sun, fidelity, prosperity, and joy.

Chrysanthemum – considered a long-lasting flower, lasts from 7 to 14 days. It has rich symbolic meaning worldwide, especially in Asian countries. In Japan it is a symbol of the imperial family, depicted on the crest, and considered a flower of luck and health. In China it represents longevity, wisdom, and resilience. In Latin American countries it is associated with festivity, brightness, and friendship.

Daisy-like chrysanthemum – lasts from 7 to 14 days, symbolizes innocence, purity, and naturalness.

Argentinian farm roses – last from 5 to 10 days. These roses are grown mainly in the central and western provinces, distinguished by their resilience, and are a sign of love and respect.

Carnations – long-lasting flowers, last from 7 to 14 days, symbolize love, devotion, resilience, and respect.

Snapdragons (antirrhinums) – long-lasting flowers, last from 7 to 10 days, gradually opening. Snapdragons are excellent for men’s bouquets, as they symbolize strength and wisdom in various cultures.

It is important to note that the indicated vase life assumes proper flower care, namely:

-the vase must contain clean, cool water,
-the water should be changed every two days, refreshing the stem cut with a sharp knife at a 45-degree angle,
-place the vase away from drafts, direct sunlight, and heating devices,
-add flower food to the water.

This is the warmest and most floral time of the year ❀
